wave-a11y-scan: WAVE-Style Accessibility Scan Skill for Codex

What it is

wave-a11y-scan runs the WAVE rule set and produces a report with Errors, Contrast Errors, Alerts, and other accessibility findings mapped to WCAG 2.x plus a Section 508 note. On first use, it installs Playwright and downloads Chromium (about 150 MB). The results do not prove a page is accessible, so manual keyboard and screen-reader testing is still required.

Install and usage

Codex CLI prerequisite: PowerShell setup or WSL setup.

Install, then restart Codex:

$skill-installer install https://github.com/lowtouch-ai/krithi-skills/tree/main/skills/wave-a11y-scan

Usage example from the repository README:

$wave-a11y-scan scan https://example.com

For update and uninstall steps, see the krithi-skills README.
