Krithi Skills: Reusable Codex Skills for Accessibility Scans and Repo Documentation

lowtouch.ai has published krithi-skills, a public GitHub repo of Codex skills. Two ship today: wave-a11y-scan, a WAVE-style accessibility scan mapped to WCAG 2.x, and repo-readme-generator, which writes README and docs only from files it has read. Install each with one command.

  • Two Codex skills, public on GitHub
  • wave-a11y-scan runs WAVE's 110-item rule set and writes a client-ready report
  • repo-readme-generator writes README.md, AGENTS.md and docs only from verified evidence
  • One $skill-installer command per skill, then restart Codex

Krithi Skills: Reusable Codex Skills for Accessibility Scans and Repo Documentation

A Codex skill is a folder with a SKILL.md that tells Codex when and how to do a job, plus any scripts it needs. Codex loads a skill when your request matches its description, or when you call it by name with $.

Krithi is the lowtouch.ai SDLC agent. We have published two skills from that work in a public repo: lowtouch-ai/krithi-skills.

Skill What it does
wave-a11y-scan WAVE-style accessibility scan of live pages, with a report mapped to WCAG 2.x and a Section 508 note
repo-readme-generator Creates or updates a repo's README, or a documentation suite with AGENTS.md, from verified evidence

wave-a11y-scan

Runs WebAIM's published WAVE rule set (110 items in six categories) against live pages in headless Chromium. You ask Codex to scan a URL and it runs the script. The output folder holds report.md and report.html, plus one JSON file per page with every instance (selector, HTML snippet, contrast values).

Errors and contrast errors are reported as failures. Alerts are flagged for human review. The skill never states that a page is accessible or conformant: keyboard, screen reader, captions and focus order still need manual testing.

On first run it installs Playwright and downloads Chromium (about 150 MB, once). Pages behind a login need a Playwright storage-state file.

repo-readme-generator

Every component, command, port, variable and dependency it writes must come from a file it read. Anything it cannot verify becomes TBD. It edits only README.md, AGENTS.md and files under docs/, and never touches application code.

Three scopes: readme (root README only), standard (README, AGENTS.md, architecture, codebase map, development guide, configuration) and full (every applicable document, up to 13 under docs/).

Install and try

You need Codex CLI first: PowerShell setup, WSL setup. Then, inside Codex:

$skill-installer install https://github.com/lowtouch-ai/krithi-skills/tree/main/skills/wave-a11y-scan
$skill-installer install https://github.com/lowtouch-ai/krithi-skills/tree/main/skills/repo-readme-generator

Check first by typing $wave-a11y-scan in Codex. If the skill does not show up, exit Codex, restart it by typing codex, and check again.

Then open Codex in your project folder and run:

$wave-a11y-scan scan https://example.com
$repo-readme-generator create the README for this repo
$repo-readme-generator document this repo fully

Both skills are Python scripts, so they run in WSL and native PowerShell as long as Python 3 is on your PATH. Options, scopes and limits are documented in the repository.
